What is EDII at WASHU??

Sorta confused... what was Early decision II for WashU?

I applied regular decision, but I was wondering what were the components of ED II.... was it binding? What was the main difference between it and regular decision?

Yea ED II is binding. You find out decision in February.

no, i believe the deadline for ed2 is january 1st and you find out january 15th

yep 1/15 you will know

oh my bad. wait how do you evaluate so quickly@!?

Have no idea. I applied ED2, got a letter from Wash confirming my application and giving me a password to check out the progress of my app on line. I went on line and they don't even have my transcript and recommendations registered as received, even though I know my school sent them out on 12/16...Now that makes me nervous.

they have to have everything RECEIVED by 1/1? I know when I applied to Chicago EA, they let some things like Recs and School report slide by a few days. I guess because they only have like 14 frickin' days to evaluate the apps that they can't waste any time.

I don't know if they have to have everything by 1/1, but I'd guess they'd want the stuff from the school and the SAT/SATII numbers as close to 1/1 as possible. And I know they want their pre-app form and their application or the common app by or before 1/1, though their website says you can call them if you can't make the deadline to work things out.

You have to have everything postmarked (pretty sure at least) by the first.

they just do it fast, it's washU...we own

thatindiandude, according to the swat thread you started about your chances for edII, there was a general conclusion that you're applying early to a number of schools...ED and EA that is...and even considering EDII; is this true?

"oh my bad. wait how do you evaluate so quickly@!?"

They only have 300-400 applicants ED2.

where you get that number from jackjackson

I asked an admissions person when I was at Wash U.

does anyone know if more than one student applies to WASHU from the same school that they compare those students applications?

My college counseler has said that they wont not accept someone just because of other students applying from their school, and that they don't have limits of students per school. I'm not sure if that's the real deal though.
