What is Form B?

What is the difference between the normal FRQ's and the Form B ones?

Form B is for people who got sick or had some excuse for not taking the test on the scheduled exam day. That way people can’t give people who skipped the test the answers/questions, etc. People say that it is more difficult than Form A, but that is most likely due to the curve on form B being harsher (less people take it).

I thought Form B was for International AP Students?

Form B is indeed for international students. The test that late testers take is a different, third version of the exam and that version is never released and can’t be discussed either.

The regular exam is Form 4GBP.

Form A is the late exam; Form B is the international version.

The reason why FRQs are different is to avoid cheating. If the international students and the American students were to share the same FRQs (Form 4GBP), the American students can obtain the questions from the international students, which will result in cheating.

Form B is the set of questions used in areas that aren’t closely aligned to the US in time zones to prevent the previously mentioned cheating.

The questions given to students who missed the exam due to multiple exam conflicts, deaths in the family, sickness, etc…those are never released, can never be discussed by the test-taker, etc.

So is a Canadian considered International, and is the form B * harder*?

Since Canada is right above America, I don’t think there would be any problems with cheating and time zones. Will I be doing the standard Form 4GBP?

I believe 4GBP is used for North and South America while Form B is used everywhere else.

Thanks. 10Char

No form B is not for make-up as was suggested earlier in the thread. Make-up students get form A. It is for mostly international students who have to take the exam at a different time because of time zone differences.

Also form B is not harder. You should get the same grade no matter what test you take. If one is harder, it will be curved more.

Hum tee tum. Whoops.
