What is going on with Columbia?

I received my admission email to the Computer Engineering MS program almost a month ago, but still haven't received a postal admission package. I sent an Email to SEAS grad admission a week ago with no reply, and I've called twice now with no one answering, or calling back from my messages. What is going on?!

i called the office twice this week (2128546438) at 11 am EST, and Jesse Jones picked up both times. I would give that time a try. or you could try calling the department directly. i tried emailing before and it never works.

They were on Spring Break last week. Perhaps that has something to do with it??

Tried calling exactly at 11 am with no luck. Called three times since then with no result.

:(

Finally got through. It looks like they haven't even processed my application yet! What the hell!? My acceptance was a month ago!

I've been waiting for EONS for a response to the CS PHD program. I hope that if I'm rejected they could at least tell me!

Yep, I've been waiting for a while as well...they seem to be extremely extremely slow.

They were much faster last year. This year, I've heard from many people that they are taking much longer to notify people.

I tried calling but the Graduate Admin Staff don't have access to the decisions, you either get an email or you get it online. I dunno what to do. I really want to go to Columbia but I have other schools that I have to get back to VERY SOON. I don't want to be messed up and accept elsewhere only to withdraw my application after (that might mess up someone else's chances). And that's even assuming I get in. If it's a reject just let me know now, man! I submitted my application 4-5 months ago!

This is very mean!

Glad to hear I'm not alone... To those who have a deadline coming up (for example, tomorrow... ugh) I actually called the school with the deadline and explained the situation, to which they said they understood and have given me an "extension". So if anyone is in a similiar position just a thought.

How do you guys have a deadline already? Columbia along with a host of other schools have agreed to the april 15th deadline. Pretty much all notable schools abide to this date.

Same situation! I received the acceptance email from Columbia's CS MS program on 3/10. Now its almost a month, and I have not heard anything from them! What can we do?!

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything.... I still haven't heard, even though I was offered a fellowship by a professor. So, I supposedly have to accept the fellowship offer by tomorrow, despite never having heard from the school. Is this normal?

I got my rejection letter yesterday. The professor I interviewed with never bothered to answer my emails. At this point I'm so glad to get some kind of confirmation and closure. This was the worst (next to NYU who sent a stoic 3 sentence rejection paragraph).

Stony Brook here I come.

I went to Columbia's Grad Admissions office last Friday, and they apparently screwed up my paper work and my document was never sent ( it should've been sent a long time ago), as a result I missed welcome day, probably missed grad housing application, and may miss class registration.

Here's the kicker, they said they'll send it immediately through express mail. Now it's been 4 days, and I still have not received it.

I mean, my only response is: "***!"

You had to actually go there to get a response? Thats a bit ridiculous.
