<p>what is rush like? are there any sororoties that dont involve rush week where they make you drink tilll you puke?</p>
<p>Girls are not allowed to rush until sophomore year, which, as a parent, I truly appreciate. As far as hazing in sororities (sororities across the country), I really think that is passe. Fraternities (across the country) are still known for their hazing that involves massive amounts of drinking. </p>
<p>D1 (who is not at Muhlenberg) rushed a sorority at her school, second semester freshman year and they had very strict rules about no drinking during the entire rush/pledge period... and for the sororites, they are very serious about it. Sororities will turn in other sororites if they see someone from any sorority drinking during rush/pledge period. My D always kind of dreaded the rush/pledge period because she had to abstain, even when she was already a member, and of legal drinking age.</p>
