What is ht esignificance of the National Youth Leadership Forum of Medicine.

I recently have been nominated for this prestigous "thing". wILL THIS BENEFIT ME ( I want to go into the BME or medical field).

i'd like to know too...anybody?

it doesnt have that much significance to it. i was nominated for it. its just a program where they want your money

Have to agree with college89. On the other hand, I know some students who participated and enjoyed their experiences---but you could probably get just as much shadowing a local surgeon and attending some lectures at a local U.

The significance is that the program bought your name from a list of college-bound students. It is not an honor. The program is available to anyone who is the requisite age and can pay the fee.

You can check CC's archives and find info. If you've got the bucks, the program may be interesting and enjoyable for you, but when it comes to impressing top colleges, it won't because they know that the main factor determining students' selection for it is the size of their parents' wallets.
