So how impressive does the publication have to be? (e.g. A poem in a small independant literary magazine v.s. actually getting a novel published...)??

<p>I want to major in math/architecture at UW. Since they are reviewing apps hollistically I was wondering if this would serve as a great hook. I enjoy helping my fellow classmates in math. They often come to me for help inside and outside of class. I was thinking of writing a math book/text that would help struggling students succeed in math and get it published. Would this serve as a decent hook?</p>
