What is in a name ?

So i was just wondering what kids from various schools are called.

Most of us know that kids that go to exeter are called Exonians, kids that go to Eton are etonians, kids that go to andover are phillipians .. what about the other schools ?

Are people that go to groton called groinians ??

And people that go to Hotchkiss Hotchonians ?? or kissonians ?

Deerfield ... deerfonians ? or fieldonians ?

Hopkins school .. hopkonians ?

harvard WL .. harvornians ? (by the way what are harvard grads called ?)

the school of hard knox .. Knoxonians ?

Ha this should be interesting!

hahaha this is funny but i know not all schools follow the "ion"
for example kids that go to taft are called tafties or sometimes rhinos?

and i remember there was a nickname for middlesex kids too but i'm not sure what it was...

haa oh don't get me started on tafties, ha they have the unfortunate position of having an agnomen theat rhymes with daft, daft taft, dafty tafties ! But yeah.

We're called Phillipians? That's really very original...

St. Paul's kids are Paulies

Man I just love Groinians !! What's even better is that it used to be a boys school ... I am not saying anything! I am not a beliver in innuendo.... at least I think I am not.

Thacher toads! lol.

Andoverians?? Andies?

choaties all the way!!!!!
:P

EXONIANS rock!

Stanford's was the "too bad you didn't go"ians

lol
tenchar

Well if that's the case at Standford Harvard's name is 'man we don't even need a cool sounding name because all we have to do is say the word harvard and you guys fall all over yourself' ians ! Ha on a mroe serious note I had Stannies in mind for stanford, and harrovians for harvard grads (I know that's a rip off from harrow but the english stole the light bulb from us didn't they ?? )

grotonians actually=]

I go to Stevenson, and we just call ourselves..."stevenson students"...or pirates (our mascots) if we're feeling crazy...

Aww man now i will have to go through life saying 'Soo.. you are a groinian? OH i am sorry i meant a grotonian'! Feigning ignorance for the sake of humor! A sad life really.

Well, technically we're Phillips Academy, shore so it makes sense. It's just that ruddy what'sitcalled name-stealing school that made it confusing. But we're Phillipians because we had first claim.

apparently groton's actually pronounced like "grawton" lol i think "growton" is better but wtv

groinians. NICE XD

I was being sarcastic about how original Phillipians was!

Ha you guys at stevensons should call yourself Steven's Sons and/or Steven's daughters ! Yeah I know that's pretty lame but it sure as heck beats 'Stevensons students' !

Harvard students are Harvardians, though no one actually says that.
