Hello all, this is my first post. I am a high school senior who just got accepted to Cal Poly Pomona for aerospace engineering.
Here’s a little bit about me: I don’t study that often. I really only study when maintaining my grades depend on it. My overall GPA is 4.15. Right now I am taking AP physics (Got a B+ last semester) and regular calculus (regretting not taking AP, got a A- last semester). I don’t really pay attention in my classes, maybe 50%. I hope to improve my attention span for college . I like things having to do with air and space, so naturally I want to become an aerospace engineer. Also I plan to commute, but may dorm.
So I have heard a lot of rumors about engineering majors, like the countless hours of study and how hard the math is. I was wondering how accurate the horror stories are and how college life is for engineering majors. How much free time do you have? How stressful is it? How does it compare to high school? Things like that.
Thanks for your time!
