What is it like to transfer into University of South Carolina as a junior

I just got into University of South Carolina as a junior for this coming Fall. I am a female who just finished two years of undergrad and looking to finish at a 4 year school. Will it be difficult to make friends? Should I go greek? It seems most juniors live off-campus. Will this be difficult to fit in? Any opinion are appreciated. Decision must be made soon. Thx!

My son is an incoming freshman so take this response with a grain of salt. Any transfer has its risks, so you just need to make sure you are ready for the best or the worst. We are not from South Carolina and have no SC alum in the family so heading to Columbia is new for us. But, we have felt nothing but kindness and warmth from the people and students we have met thus far. I say go for it. Be ready to put yourself out there in class and join some clubs. I have a feeling you won’t regret it.

Thank you!
