What is it like to tutor ...

elementary schoolers? I'm signing up for a program this coming spring, and I want to know what I'm getting into. I got a ton of time to decide, so that's why I'm here asking you guys :).

I haven't been in elementary school for so long ... and I'm not the kind of person who has a ton of patience or tolerance for antics.

TBH, I just want to get my hours :).

Crap.

Be ready to prepare a kid who will not give a single fuu about what you’re saying.

Well then, he or she will be repaid in dividends - I won’t give a single crap about what he or she needs tutoring with. I’ll just sit there and collect the hours. I’ll probably even sneak in my SAT books :D.

It can be horrible or amazing. Working with advanced kids was the horrible experience because they always were fidgety or over-excited. The amazing experience was working with the lower-leveled kids because I could use pictures and other things to spark their learning without being screamed at or trampled on. (BTW, I was working with 2nd graders in math and reading.)
