What is it that makes Berkeley hard??

because B is the oldest UC in the CALIFORNIA…that’s why…i dont even know why its #1 in the nation because it doesnt even have a medical school…??

why is having a medical school a necessary condition to be a top school? MIT, Caltech, and princeton are top schools without medical schools. Actually, princeton doesn’t have a medical, business, or a law school. Besides, UCSF is a BART ride away so it would be incredibly redundant to open up another medical school at Berkeley.

Was just about to say the same thing. Isn’t UCSF essentially Cal’s medical school? How many premeds at Cal go to LA or Davis?

cutthroad competition . i could imagine the end of a possible social life.

anyways, why are people complaining about no hot girls at UCB? i know plenty of good looking fashionable girls at UCB. BOYS ON THE OTHER HAND…
please don’t flatter yourself =/

You guys are ridiculous-In a school of 40, 000 people, bigger than a lot of small towns, you’re BOUND to find someone that is attractive. Geez!!!

The dumb people that couldn’t get into these schools have to find something bad to say about them.

I love you sandaboy.

What do you guys recommend for pre-med… UNC or Berkeley??

Jhanago:

“Carolina is a no-brainer for premed over Cal, just for the “easier” grading structure – check out the mean stats. As OOS, you would be in the top quartile. UNC doesn’t have an Eng students (for whom Chem and physics come naturally in their sleep), and has a lot fewer gunners.”

Seems like the consensus is UNC because it’s easier.

I am down for some grueling 9-5 Monday through Friday kinda $hit. How bad could it be?

cooldude,

my roommate’s an EECS major and what he said was that the tests were super impossible and what would normally be an F on a test would be curved to a C or a B and that some ultranerd would get an actual on the test B at best and set the curve from there.
