<p>What exactly is legacy status? Is it only parents? Cause the Stanford supplement had a place to list out anyone in your family....so is legacy also include other people in your family?</p>
<p>parents are the legacy that counts the most; siblings also count to some extent (at some institutions i believe) and then grandparents also account for a slight part of the legacy factor. </p>

<p>Parents and grandparents who attended undergrad or grad school gives you legacy status at Stanford. Many schools don't include grad school graduates.</p>
<p>i think any relative legacy (aunt, uncle, etc.) will help as long as they donate a lot of money to the school.</p>
