The line of best fit is a line that roughly represents the average of the points on a graph. In this case, the line fits in between all the dots and we can assume that the line’s function is y=[AVG]x. It passes the point (25,3) so you plug that in and you get [AVG]=y/x=3/25=0.12 and you get your long-awaited answer.</p>
<p>The line of best fit is a line used in the scatter-plot diagram. The significance of this line is that on both sides of the lines, equal number or almost equal number of plots are scattered.
The solution by R3d3mpti0n is correct. The slope of the line gives you the average.</p>
<p>Exactly, and this line is the one that comes closest to ALL of the points, even though it doesn’t touch any/all of them</p>
