What is LSP?

I've been looking at a lot of the NYU posts, and I keep seeing the word LSP...could somebody please tell me what it stands for and what it does? thanks....:)

Liberal Studies Program and the NYU web site has information about it as well as past posts from the last few years at CC. It is a well discussed topic and past CC posts is filled with information about it.

it’s the middle ground between accepted and rejected.

you are accepted into nyu, but you’re still considered ****.

monoclide’s comment gave me my lulz for the morning.

there’s been a lot said about LSP on CC. but HONESTLY, you are not **** for being in LSP. if you care so much about being in a two year program that lets you fulfill general requirements in a different way than everyone else, you’re either insanely insecure or you still have a high school mentality.

people who are in LSP graduate within a college of NYU, and they go on to law school, med school, grad school, or they start working. yeah, it’s probably a cash cow for NYU and a sneaky way to keep the ranking of their other schools high, but on the student level PEOPLE DON’T REALLY CARE WHETHER YOU ARE IN LSP OR NOT.
