<p>Hey all. I'm a Junior from an extremely competitive public school who has many interests and activities, good grades, and mediocre test scores... It all pans out like this:</p>
<p>Sports:
-play for a nationally ranked club soccer team
-played in international futsal tournament and won first in the Chicago regional qualifiers in two age groups
-compete in triathlons (have gotten 2nd in largest amateur triathlon in the world)
-avid cyclist
-played basketball until Junior year</p>
<p>Music:
-take private violin lessons
-play in school's advanced orchestra for all of high school carreer
-in the Pit Orchestra for high school musical
-played for money in Saltcreek Symphonetta
-play mandolin in Renaissance Music Project Group</p>
<p>Academics:
-4.3 GPA
-Taking APs in areas that interest me
-taking a physics program at a local governmental laboratory
-Literacy Center Tutor</p>
<p>Leadership:
-taught kindergarteners soccer
-refereed soccer games
-teacher in a character-building program at school
-P.E. leader
-Secretary of French Club
-Students Organized for Animal Rights (SOAR) board member</p>
<p>Scores:
-SAT = 2060/2400 (I know, this is from a while back, though... so it is a practice score)</p>
<p>Right...</p>
<p>I didn't expect anyone to read all that, just an idea of the jumble of commitments that I love. What would help to make this jumble more appealing to colleges?</p>
