Physics Olympiad-ranked 8th in the nation

moved to US five years ago

what is my chance of getting into:
UCLA
USC
UCI
UCSD
Pomona college
occidental

PLEASE HELP ME, IT WILL NOT HURT YOU, THANK YOU!

UCLA- reach
USC-reach
UCI-match
UCSD-low reach
no idea about pomona and occidental

UCLA: high reach
USC: reach
UCI: In/match
UCSD: high reach.
Occidental: high reach: I got rejected with a 1790 last time. (although I needed a lot of aid)

UCLA - high reach
USC - med/high reach
UCI - match
UCSD - low/med reach
Pomona college - impossible
occidental - match

you have a low gpa and from the looks up your weighted, not many advanced courses
interesting ECs, might give you a chance in higher UCs
sats are average as are ap scores

pomona is hella hard to get in. my college counselor said i had no shot at all and i’m applying to some tough schools
maybe try pitzer?

Dose the Extra- curricular helps at all?

by the way! i forgot to mention that i am from Arcadia High. it is sort of a competitive school, like 36th in California. Does that help at all?

Coming from a competitve school doesn’t help that much.
UCLA - higher SAT score and GPA recquired, reach
USC - same as above but views applicants more holistically, known for high standarized test cores, less of a reach
UCI - match
UCSD - higher gpa/test scores
Pomona - reach
Please chance back

UCs place emphasis on sat I and II scores and UC GPA. Ecs don’t help unless you do something extraordinary. Ecs will help with USC though - they said they view applicants holistically

Is the essays really important?

“Pomona college - impossible”

So should i still apply for Pomona or just quit? please chance back!!!
