My parents got their green cards through my sister and my application is also being processed. I am currently in my senior year of high school and I’ve hoped to apply for the fall 2017. The problem is whether I should be doing that as an international student or a permanent resident. If I apply as an international student, the hassles may include i20, visa processing and all the issues which can be avoided if I wait for my permanent residency (if everything goes fine) and apply for the spring or fall 2018. I don’t want to waste my time doing nothing but is it the only thing possib?l. I do need your help.Thanks.
There is no box on most, if not all, applications that says “Are you domestic or international?” You fill out you citizenship info, and the college does with it what it will. Until such time as you get your green card, if accepted to the college, you will need to appropriate visa.
