Typical here - we've been running to no less than three graduation parties every Saturday and every Sunday, and here I am trying to get son ready to leave with his father for orientation tomorrow.

Are there any forms he needs to fill out and bring? It looks like he needs his medical form, but we couldn't get into the doctor on time. He'll go next week. Is there anything else? And what did they test you on?

He should take his planning booklet with schedule information. I can't remember if there is anything else.

They test them on math and foreign language. There was an optional calculus test, if I recall correctly. Music majors have a music theory test. Am I missing anything, those of you that just went? (Wolves, you were just there, weren't you? I know somebody was...)

Yeah, I was just there. Ummmmm, there is a class registration form that you need to fill out in the planning booklet, before the second day when you meet with your advisor, but wait until the night of the first day to do that, because they make some suggestions on the day before when you have your group meeting with your major (if I was a business major, I would skip it, the guy is incredibly boring and doesn't tell you anything you don't know). They won't allow you to see your advisor until you have that sheet filled out, so make sure it's full. Also make sure you memorize your student ID number.

You basically take some tests, have lunch, talk with each other, get a software CD (didn't have anything on it you couldn't download from online), have a group major meeting, hear a professor, get dinner, see a skit performed, go to the rec center and play dodgeball, and then the next morning you do all your class stuff. Honestly, i'd just take the tests and leave. Everything else is boring and you don't do anything there that is even remotely educational/needed. Then show up the next day and pick your classes, get your student ID, etc.

Thanks so much, Susan and A2Wolves! This is a big help. We kept thinking there must be some additional forms they sent us that we misplaced, so we were tearing through all of the papers we have, and as it turns out, there was nothing more than what we already had.

I can always count on Susan and A2Wolves to come through with a quick reply, so I told my son not to worry, we'd know before bedtime what we needed. BIG thanks to you both!
