What is needed for in-state admissions for Michigan Engineering?

lol, it's not a safety for him... imo safety is somewhere you can get into and qualify for at least 75% merit aid, with a 32 ACT, he's a match, I doubt he'll get any merit aid. Michigan has a lot of enemies, every school in the big 10 hates us, rjko, let these big shots with 1400 SAT scores and presidents of key clubs brag in peace.

In general, engineering schools always have higher acceptance rate, when I was a student, the acceptance rate was high 40s for Michigan engineering, it fluctuates between 40% and 70%, the student quality has been the same. Engineering is self-selective, acceptance rate alone means nothing. Engineering applicants tend to be those who truly excelled in math/science.

so this mean an act of 32 math gets in?> this surprises me

does 800 in sat math help?

Anyone who thinks Michigan is not that difficult to get into needs to reevaluate their ideas of reality. It is highly selective.

Yes, 800 on SAT Math is a big plus, Engineering admissions works a little bit different from LSA, You can have lower verbal scores/writing scores, but you absolutely need a high math score.

A lot of your engineering exams are going to be somewhat like the SAT math section,Of course the problems will be way more difficult. You'll get a ton of problems and very limited time, you have to think fast and apply fundamental theories to a variety of new problems. Many times, I knew exactly how to do each problem, and wasn't able to finish the test.
