I am also investigating graphic design and interdiscipliary design at Parsons. Does anyone know how good these programs are there? Also, what is the school like in general?

Taxguy, I have a nephew who's studying illustration at Parsons and likes that program but beyond that I can't say much.

I will be attending Parsons as a transfer starting in September majoring in Communication Design- their graphic design major. I visited in January and absolutely loved it. I applied to six art schools and of all of them, chose Parsons. I haven't started yet, so other than my visit, I don't have much to base this on. I'm extremely anxious though!

what other schools did you apply to when you decided to transfer? i currently go to Indiana University, planning to major in graphic design, and would really like to transfer to a more well recognized art/design school. I am seriously considering Parsons. The hardest thing for me has been to know what schools are the best for communication design/graphic design.
any help would be much appreciated.

I think SVA is best known for their graphics design / communication design major. Although Parsons communication design is very good as well
I go to Parsons though.

Do you know if I can study Fashion Merchandising here and if I can what would be a better choice in order to get financial aid: to apply as an international student since I am from Colombia or as a US citizen, since I am also an American citizen.
