i always see people take about uc transfer pre-req. i also look up on assist.org. for example, transferring to ucla as a bio major. the pre-req is like "At minimum, you should complete one year of biology with laboratory, one year of
general chemistry with laboratory, one year of calculus and one semester of
organic chemistry with laboratory. Completion of a second semester of organic
chemistry or one year of calculus-based physics is strongly recommended. " on assist.org. or all of the class listed below?Thx

Uh…what?

You don’t need to take all of the classes listed. You choose which classes to take that will fulfill the one year of bio & lab, one year of general chem & lab, one year of calculus and one year of organic chemistry & lab requirement as outlined.

I don’t quite understand…
You should complete the pre requisites regardless (hence the name pre requisite), simply because they are easy to complete.
You need to take general biology, general chemistry for sure though.

just read what it says. you gotta take general chem, bio, calc. ochem and physics are very recommended. but not required to transfer. And no, they are not easy to complete.

You should finish as much as possible because the stuff you don’t take you will be taking at UCLA anyways. And the less you finish at your CC the longer you will take at UCLA. That means 4+ years. If time is a concern to you. I would try to finish everything but the physics to keep on track.
