what is so special?

i am considering transferring into u of c after being rejected this year. although it was my first choice...i have no idea why. as i decide wat i want to do im trying to think of exactly why i want to go but i cant. so my question is what is so frickin special about this school that i cant find anywhere else?

p.s.- i reallllllyyyy do wanna go to u of c and im kind of just mad at myself for not knowing why

Well, that seems irrational. I'm a pretty big Chicago partisan -- I drank the Kool-Aid, as the kids say -- but you need to answer that question for yourself. Chicago has a lot to offer. Do some research and find out what it has to offer you, specifically. It's definitely not a school one "just" applies to, for the heck of it.

trust me, ive done my share of research. i first applied last year just to appy but now its about the academic environment/rigour, which is the main reason why i want to go there. but it seems like there is just something that u of c has that is more appealing than other top non-ivy schools, i just want to figure exactly wat it is to make sure that i want to go there not one of the others...and i dont think its anything u can find frm anything but students or prospies.
