since it's a canadian school, i know the application process is different, but how? when can i apply? when do i hear back? how can i improve my chances of getting in if i'm on the lower side of the scale?

^ so you are from the states?

You can apply now. There is an application deadline I believe sometime in Jan or something. I applied early - Octoberish. You will find out if you were accepted sometime between the end of Jan and early Feb. You’ll most likely find out about a scholarship decision after admission if you apply for one.

“lower side of the scale” you mean grade-wise? Just keep working hard in your senior year. McGill won’t give you an admission decision unless they see your first quarter/semester grades or w.e your school sends.

you can send a document of your accomplishments (awards, extracurricular activities, work experience, volunteer work).

It is not required, but it never hurts.

I am now writing a personal statement to get in to McGill, but on their internet page, they say it isn’t necessary. What do you think, will it still higher my chances of getting in?

don’t write a personal statement, just have a nice list of your awards and accomplishments and extracurricular activities.
