What is the best ACT Prep book out there?

I am planning on taking the ACT in December with the writing section. What test prep book goes in-depth with each section of the ACT?

Okay and this is my first and only time taking the ACT. I have taken the SAT and got:
M:580
CR:570
Writing:570

I am debating whether to get the Princeton Review ACT book or The Real Act book offered by Peterson's. Which would help me get the maximum score?

Please help! I have searched through the forums and would like to get started ASAP:)

Get both. Seriously. That's what I used, and I kicked the ACT's butt. They're both awesome books.

Thank you:)

the real ACT is better

^agreed. princeton is good but not as good

Thanks so much for the responses!

Real ACT + PR = best combo

I beg to differ. Real ACT+Kaplan is the best IMO...

Agreed, tetrisfan

Well, that's two of us then :)

i used the real act book. :)

i heard the real act is good if u have more time. if im taking in dec, and wanna get above a 33 should i use it? im pretty sure reading, english, and math i can get above 33 without much effort. But science man oh man

^^yea we have the same goals...and right now i think im going with real plus princeton review...

anyone know if barrons puts out any act books because they would probably be ten times harder than the real thing

and what practice book has the most practice tests that are the most accurate because i can find books with ten sats but none with a lot of acts

Thanks for the opinions everyone! I am thinking of going with PR+Real

dabulls, I just checked amazon.com and there is this one Barrons ACT book I found.

arite thanks for the help...ill tune in and let you know if i get it/how it goes

anyone think these are accurate..

Amazon.com: McGraw-Hill's 10 ACT Practice Tests (McGraw-Hill's 10 Practice Acts): Books: Steven Dulan

Get the Real ACT, PR, Barron's, and maybe Kaplan(only if you really need it). Anything else is bologna especially any Mcgraw-Hill's b/c my friend purchased a McGraw-Hill's ACT book and he said a lot of the problems came with wrong answers and the answer choices for the problems are also wrong! If you need more practice tests, the Real ACT just came out with a new book that has 3 in the book and 3 online. Other tests can be easily found online.

arite thats seems to be a general suggestion thanks

don't overwhelm urself with books either. A month may seem like a long time, but seriously, how many prep books can one digest in that time?
