what is the best book for sat II biology?

I've heard mainly PR. I am also going to be taking AP bio this year if that makes any difference. So, what do you guys think is the best and why?

From my experience Kaplan’s was the most challenging with Barron’s being the easiest and Princeton Review’s in between.

Anyone else?

I found Barron’s too hard. I read about half and it really does overprepare you, something that really didn’t help me since I felt as if I had to know everything.

My favorite was PR.

I think Barron’s and Cliffnotes will prepare you well enough for the exam

I used CliffsAP. Just CliffsAP. I think I got close to an 800…

I didn’t read through Barrons or PR and only used them for practice tests so I can’t really tell you how their reviews are. The Kaplan version has a lot of information (though I assume this is true for most review books) and I looked over it but didn’t read the whole book. Kaplan’s practice tests were the hardest, I actually thought some of the Kaplan questions were harder than the SAT 2 Bio questions. I think if possible you should use the practice tests from both PR and Kaplan (PR had a question that was exactly on the test if i a remember correctly) and review from whichever you prefer.

The combo of Barron’s and PR is good for review. Barron’s has some great charts that make it much easier to memorize. A couple of questions seem to always be similar to Princeton Review questions. So both are good. I don’t think Barron’s material is that much harder than the actual test. I mean, it might be overkill, but you never know what info is going to be on the test.
