I am in a quandary on where to even start looking at schools. I know I want to study business or economics. I received a 29 on my ACT. I have a 4.3/4.0 weighted gpa and a 3.91/4.0 non weighted. That is my profile on a grade standpoint. From that basis what colleges do you think I would even have a shot to get into?
What State do you live in? Many large State flagships have excellent programs (e.g. Virginia, Texas). I say this because it’s always good to start there then move out. Look at various rankings to see which business programs are well regarded, pick ones that you seem to fit more or less stat wise then dig a little deeper to check out details such as location, specific curriculum. A couple of private schools which pop into my mind are Emory and NYU, but you need to do a thorough canvas of the schools. Take the ACT again to see if you can nudge it up a point or two. That will help. Best of luck to you.
Try using supermatch function on left.
If you can get your ACT to a superscored 30 you would be a direct admit at Indiana Kelley. Top tier program and hard to beat.
What is your budget? How much will parents pay? That answer may determine where you can attend college.
What state are you from?
I just recently took the ACT so hopefully I will now be able to super score to a 30!! I am from Illinois… My parents do not mind how much is spent, however, I do not necessarily want to spend their money in excess…
Why not UIUC? Good school, in state tuition. If you really want to go out of state, I’d look at Michigan, Indiana, UT-Austin.
UT Austin would be very unlikely. It’s just so difficult to get into McCombs.
UIUC has a great business school and the instate price is attractive!
You would be borderline NYU. You’d need the ACT up some though.
Money could be a decider. You would qualify for many quality public and private schools. Not sure where your located.
