What is the best college for film school?!? HELP!!

<p>I live in Canada n i want to know what college is the best for film in the U.S, I've heard of many good schools such as NYU, USC, UCLA, Columbia & Northwestern. I used to lean towards UCLA then it went to Columbia & now it's at NYU!! There's just something with USC that I don't like for some reason, even though they have an excellent reputation, I just don't like them!! >.> But I like the environment in NYC, anything would work for me, I just want the best experience for film & hopefully a job after. I'm interested in film directing for my future film career. If you guys have more schools to recommand, please go ahead and I would appreciate lots of advices since I don't know a lot about U.S colleges. Plus what's with Columbia for film?!? I can't find anything about their undergrad film program, I only can find their grad school film program!! are they even good for film?!? and I know there Ivy League!! NOTE: Just a reminder, i'm interested in film directing!!</p>

<p>Chapman University in Orange, California has a strong film school also. Florida State also has a stong program in film.</p>

<p>I think you can’t go wrong with any of those schools. I personally would go to one in California since its the home of Hollywood.</p>

<p>USC, you can’t go wrong with USC for film. Location + Reputation + Alumni + Resources, that’s the most important when it comes to the Film Industry and USC does it best.</p>

<p>NYU Tisch is pretty good, and no school in this nation can beat New York City as a location. ( Even USC)</p>

<p>USC
NYU
UCLA
Cal Arts
Chapman
Florida State</p>

<p>Columbia isn’t known for film and don’t know any Ivy’s which are.</p>

<p>Note that Wesleyan is highly selective. The college received over 10,000 applications for something like 800 places this year.</p>
