OK I know that the “Red Book” is a must-have. But I want to supplement it with a review book that covers the content thoroughly and has the best tips&tricks to tackle the questions.
I’ve collected this list of the “Best ACT Study Guides” and I want to know your opinion for what’s the best of them?
a. Barron’s
b. The black book
c. UpYourScore
d. Princenton’s premium
e. The ACT for bad Test Takers
I used Barron’s ACT 36 for math and english help before my March state test. I went up 4 points in english and 1 point in math. I feel it kinda leaves out things for math. I just got PR’s ACT Elite 36 and it goes way more in depth. Some things you don’t need but it’s good to have.
Use real ACT tests. There are patterns in ACT tests that make the ACT predictable. Those other books don’t thoroughly pick up on those patterns.
Thanks
Guys what about the Black book?
@kerrycake you mean the princeton is your #1 choice?
I haven’t used it yet but from what I’ve seen it is. You’ll find the best ways to tackle questions and content is by experimenting with real test. I have a file of some: http://www.mediafire.com/?fqcaeda22zbry1n
