hey i was wondering if anyone knew any excellent international relations universities. which is the best?

Tufts, Princeton, Georgetown, Stanford, JHU, Brown, Penn all have great programs

Johns Hopkins :)

i second PalmBeach. JHU all the wayyy!

Georgetown has to be the best

Great Staff and you are in DC

but <sarcasm>nothing</sarcasm> beats the Ivies in anything...

on a serious note, like mentioned already: Georgetown, Tufts, Princeton, etc...American?

johns hopkins, as mentioned.

In Europe probably LSE.

ive heard a lot of good feedback on johns hopkins :) how about columbia? not necessarily from the US...but most accessible isnt it...

you were saying in Europe? LSE??

PS thanks for the recommendations...

LSE stands for the London School of Economics. It's a specialist social sciences institution (even though their idea of social sciences ois quite broad with subjects such as law, management and internatonal relations). It is supposed to have a great program in the field. In the USA I have been told and read great things about John Hopkin's program.

In the US, the best are Georgetown SFS and Tufts University. JHU is good, but otherwise it is primarily a pre-med school, so you may not get the attention that would otherwise be forthcoming at the other big two listed above.

Tufts and Georgetown.

thanks so much for the recommendations...i really want to make the right decision...its so hard isnt it! and what about some good backups in IR?

^ Depending on your stats, American and George Washington might be good backups. Also, as stated, Georgetown, Tufts, and JHU are your best bets for Universities, while Middlebury also has an excellent international curriculum.
