What is the best math book..

I know this gets asked frequently.. but I keep getting 3-4 hard questions wrong and 2-3 careless mistakes and end up with 670/680 every time.. I only got a 700 once on a practice test.. I know about Rocketreview and Grubers, but I don't feel like buying both. I heard Rocketreview really can't get you a score higher than low 700s? Would Grubers be better for me? (I do have Barrons 2400 though)

Well, Rocketreview and Gruber's wont' help you with the careless mistakes. If you didn't make the careless mistakes you'd have like a 720. Do you actually not know the math for the hard questions? Gruber's is good for math, but since you basically only get the 3-4 hard questions wrong, I'm wondering if it's because you actually don't know how to do it or because you run out of time or some other reason? It seems like working on time management would do more for you than spending $20 on 3-4 hard questions.

Yeah, I only know how to do, approximately, 3/5 of most of the hard math problems...(based from practice tests)

I have both Grubers and RocketReview. RocketReview, if you follow its tips, will make sure you don't make careless mistakes. The author takes you through a process showing your mental processes of how you make careless mistakes. You see first hand what you do when you make careless mistakes. It's the only book that focuses on getting a 700+ because the only way to get a 700 is to not make careless mistakes. Grubers is all about math concepts, but you need RocketReview.

Will it teach me how to do some of the hard math problems? I can answer some of them but there are others that I just don't know what to do.

No book will tell you how to do each Math question completely. Half the question will require to use your cerebral organs to their fullest potentials(using logic) while the other half is covered by these books. Like say if there was a question about how many #s are such that if switch the two digits around, the # is 9 more than the other #. No book will teach a concept like that, and it's solely based off of how you can you can think logically without making some careless mistake.

Well, yeah I know that but I mean it will like do a step by step explanation for the hard questions in the book.. right? Would you still recommend Rocketreview, for me, over Grubers?

so.... should I get Grubers or Rocketreview? Does it really matter which one I get?

If you feel that you have every concept down, then get RocketReview because strategy is very important. Just make sure to follow RocketReview's process like it asks you to.
