What book will help me get at least a 700 on my SAT II BIO?

I used Kaplan after a year of honors biology and got a 790. I only used its review section though, because the practice tests were nothing like the real one.

I second Kaplan's...

what does everyone think of using kaplans and barrons? will this give me a shot at an 800?

(i'm in regular biology)

Hm... regular biology... Well I'd definitely go with Kaplan. I'm in AP bio right now (took the test in January). I used Kaplan and got an 800.

Kaplan is great. Even though I did not take the SATII Bio, a lot of my friend used Kaplan and managed 700+

Kaplan's is comprehensive; Barron's probably gives you too much information...

i'm not taking any bio courses at school.

do you think i can teach myself and take SAT II bio???

i'm aiming at 750-800.

Yes you can teach yourself, but your score will depend on how motivated you are to study. If you prep a lot and work hard you should do fine.

what about Princeton review?

yah, what about PR? That's the book I ended up buying because of its brief and concise style. I wonder if I made the right choice.

I don't know if brief and concise is good for the SAT II Bio unless you already have a strong background in the subject.
