What is the best way to get through college?

I am currently a freshman on a $2,500 scholarship. More than likely, I may lose it due to not reaching the required GPA. I really don't want to go to summer school since I feel burnedout already this year and I just want to take less credit courses. I would rather take 12-14 credits than 15-16 per semester that's required by the scholarship and worrying about grades. If I didn't have a scholarship, I could choose classes I wanted without having to worry about filler classes to meet the requirement. Problem is, I don't want my mom to be mad at me since I still live a home (which is a long story). Anyway, if I do lose the scholarship, what is the best way to get through college with reasonable credit hours I can handle (12-14) with money in my pocket other than work study since I won't be staying on campus. So it has to be another kind of job. My main goal is to just finish college since a lot of people don't finish since stress takes a toll. I don't want that to be me. Thank you!!

Also, my scholarship only covers the cost for books with some left over.

Find easy classes. Every college has them. 18 credit hours with 3 really easy classes and 2 regular ones will feel like less than 15. Take as many easy classes as you can while focusing on graduation/major requirements. If you focus on this, you might even be able to finish up early.

Keep that scholarship. I think doing so would be less stressful than getting a job. If you pick the right classes, you might even be able to get a job in addition. Finally, learn to deal with stress - its part of life!

Make a friend with an Adderall prescription. Works wonders :)

Taking Adderall isn’t exactly a solution, lol.

I’d say 6281597 has the right idea. If you just need filler courses, ask around and see what the easiest courses at your college are. I’m sure with less stressful courses you will have time for a job as well. You can probably check for open positions at your college and just work a few hours each week. I work my school’s phonathon for ~10hours/week, and that’s generally enough to have a reasonable amount of spending money.

Use the websites pick my professor or whatever to find teachers that are labelled as really easy. Bonus points if they’re also good looking
But definitely get filler courses-just make sure they don’t look like them. Intro to Basketweaving might be a stretch:p
