<p>You are completely basing your college decision on "ranks of schools", and how good their programs are. DON'T DO THAT. You need to find the type of school you want, 3 other posters in this thread have said that.</p>
<p>Michigan has nothing in common with Johns Hopkins, which has nothing in common with UChicago, which has nothing in common with Emory, which has nothing in common with NYU.</p>
<p>Find out what kind of school you want. Do you want a big school? Will you be happy in a class of 5,000 students? Do you want to go far away from your house? Can your parents afford OOS tuition? </p>
<p>Someone making rankings for you and making a college decision for you is just plain stupid.</p>
<p>A student who excelled at any of these schools with a pre-med major would be admitted to a good medical school.</p>
