I am a non-resident applicant with a 2.9 gpa and 29 composite ACT. On the Ole Miss website it states that “regular admission will be granted” to students meeting certain criteria, all of which I am in the clear on. Does regular admission mean automatic acceptance?
Most likely. I am a Mississippi student. I will say that your gpa is a little low, but your ACT score seals the deal. You will be admitted. I think the average ACT score at Ole Miss is 22. I wouldn’t worry about it. Scholarships, however, may be a different thing. If you are a freshman applicant, your ACT score can qualify for a great scholarship, but check out if your GPA is a disqualifier.
I believe Regular admission is to the university. However, there are special programs such as the Center for Manufacturing Excellence and Chinese Flagship that require essays, separate application and have grade requirements exceeding the standards for Regular admission.
