Sorry, I don’t get what this means? Was there a layout problem when you posted it? Like, I don’t get how to read what you posted… or maybe its just me?

^ It’s definitely not just you. I don’t get it either.

Are you asking us to assign a letter grade to each of these categories for each school?

It’s idiotic. Better to just ignore, especially if you see the other posts this person has. Shades of Humboldt!

Frankly, there is no difference there that can be expressed by letter-grades and point-by-point analysis. From the other posts you’ve made, it looks like you’ve been accepted to a lot of great schools. Try picking the three you think best fit your academic needs/interests (i guarantee you, there are some fits in the list) and from there just visit the schools and decide based on how the school feels to you. None of your options will give you any reason to look back after four years with any regrets.

To fallen: Idiot sees idiotic thing. Know yourself How old are you? Too much time, huh? Time to grow up. I agree with Don, it is all about the fit.

welcome to the forums?

all being said, the original post was a bit confusing
best of luck with your decision, i’m sure whatever you pick will be just great.

thegenius-- I hope you are not as new to reading the WashU forum as you are to posting… fallenchemist has been one of the most informative on this forum so I wouldnt go so far as to say that. maybe fallenchemist went a little far as well, but Humbolt was a little difficult on his threads…

Maybe I did go a little far, but look at this guy’s other postings. He is all over the map, and therefore these kinds of things just wastes everyone’s time. Which is OK I guess, if you don’t mind that. But genius, you will see if you bothered to read even a few of my other postings that no one advocates fit more than I do.

It is fine to come on here looking for advice, but when the OP has clearly done no pre-thinking about it to where they can narrow it down to some reasonable set of parameters, then there really is no way to help. Again, if you only looked at this post I can understand your reaction to some degree. Look at them all. Then get back to me (I don’t mean that literally).

You just have too much time that’s exactly why you are investigating others by reading through. If you are really trying to give advice to others, you should learn how to respect other CCer. It does not f**king matter whether it is true or not. It does not matter whether you are the boss on CC or not. You gotta be respectful, imagine if you do the same thing to others in real life, someone is gonna kick your ass. Go outside and talk to the real people, you keyboard warrior.

FallenChemist DOES respect other CCers. Chemist gives some of the most meaningful advice on this forum. Get a life genius. The comment would not have been made in the first place if the original post made ANY sense.

why dont you relax? and I’m willing to nearly guarantee fallenchemist didnt snoop through the guy’s posts… some of us read this forum very frequently and get a feel for what some of the other frequent posters are like… you clearly (by your 2 posts) have not been on here very much and dont know any background info. he admitted he went too far, so chill out b/c now you are looking like the ass.

TO THE OP-- take Don Quixote’s advice and narrow down the list to a few schools and a few of the harder-to-research topics… the other topics, with a little investigation on this forum-- as well as a few others and perhaps c o l l e g e p r o w l e r . c o m (just retype without spaces… I’m not sure why it was blocking it) if you are REALLY that into grades-- you could find all the information you want. That is not to say I wholeheartedly agree with the rankings of various things on college p r o w l e r, but its a start. lastly, just preview your post and format it correctly with periods or underscores or whatever, or perhaps you could just phrase it into concise paragraph form? That way, some of this stuff could potentially be avoided. Don’t sweat it.

It does not matter whether someone posted only few or not. The thing is that you are still a riffraff. Have fun nailing others ONLINE 24/7, it will help you staying away from the REAL world! Too many losers from real life, one does not have time to check back so no need to reply.

It’s OK guys. I think it is kind of amusing to be told that looking at all the information and taking things in context is somehow wrong compared to half-assed, unresearched opinions. Since he admits he hasn’t researched anything, and has assumed numerous things about me he cannot have a clue as to whether they are true or not, I wonder who that makes the disrespectful flamer?

The last thing I will tell genius, because clearly it does no good to get into it with him, is that people have to deserve respect. Again, if you did any research at all (you are free to look through my posts, I am not even sure how one can “investigate” others, in the negative way you said that, on an open site) you would see I highly respect everyone but those that have clearly given no thought at all to their posts. To date that is 2, Humboldt and Gunn. I was just trying to save others some time, since I know full well from experience that responding to posts like the OP, especially in context of the other posts, is a waste. But you know what? No one has to listen to me and they can still respond to the OP if they think it is worthwhile. Amazing how that works. And as my final comment to you, I didn’t even say Gunn was an idiot, I said the post was idiotic, and it is. If you don’t see a difference in those two things, then there is nothing I can do. Feel free to respond, but I am done with you.

someone else on another thread said it perfectly-- its just impossible to argue with some CCers… haha

…and this website has absolutely no effect on my social life, so that is completely irrelevant.

newprov - so true, that’s why I am done with him. I probably should have ignored from the start, I know. Anyway, I appreciate your posts, they are always good. And thanks for the kind words and support.

haha thanks and no problem.

I’m a newbie parent to CC and have just started to use the forums here as a way to keep in touch with what’s going on at my kid’s schools. If someone has something interesting to say, looking back through their old post history can be extremely enlightening. (ST2, fallenchemist, students, etc. - thanks all) Recent posts on the WU and Dartmouth forums by H and G do have eerie and somewhat disturbing similarities. Thanks fallenchemist for bringing it to light. I consider myself to be an involved, concerned, and educated parent - but if all of this makes me a riffraff-keyboard-warrior too, so be it. :D

All hail to the R-K-Ws! Must say I prefer it to my D’s loving term for me (that being “Stalker Mom”). LOL.
