What is the difference between ECs and volunteering?

<p>I have taught 3 English classes of ~10 people each, once a week for the length of 10 weeks in a foreign country. Is this volunteer work or an EC? What is the difference? </p>

<p>Volunteering is a subset of EC’s, so it’s both really.</p>
