Sorry, didn't know where to post this thread.
I am currently attending a CC in California and plan to transfer to a CSU. Should I take English 1B or English 1C? What is the difference between the two and which is more challenging?

It really depends on your CC and what each course articulates to for requirements or IGETC purposes at your target CSUs (or UCs) (see [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) ). CCs do not all have the same course numbers, so no one else can answer your question as stated.

I am assuming your from SAC right? I taken English 1B (English Literature) because I couldnt get English 1C but I would rather take english 1C (critical thinking) but both are same in a way but english 1B you have read literature and write a little bit more and more stuff to do than critical thinking depending on the professor. So in all, I would take English 1C so you get a full IGETC than getting a partial IGETC (@ SAC but full or partial its the same)

Oh that’s only for UC alternative if you can’t take eng 1C, for CSU you MUST take Eng 1C or no chance 100% (CSU golden 4 rules)
