I got accepted to Irvine under Pharmaceutical Sciences, which was my alt. major, but I don’t think i want to pursue this degree. I did’n’t even take chemistry my junior year , I took AP BIO instead, and I feel like this would put me at a disadvantage. Anyways how hard would it be to change my major to computer science? I called the office, and the woman told me that they would tell me what I would need to do when I attend the orientation, I believe it was called SPOP or something along those lines.
2.0 average GPA or above in ICS/CSE 21 and 22 or Informatics 41 and 42, or ICS 31 and 32; and one of the following: Math 2A, Math 2B, ICS 6B/Math 6B or ICS 6D/Math 6D.
I was accepted in my backup major and ended up in my first major after finishing the courses I needed, if you meet those requirements it’s a guarantee UNLESS you go above 135 units before you get to that point. (it still might be possible, but they review applications of seniors to make sure you can graduate on time.)
