What is the effect ?

What will be the effect of taking SAT for the 4th time ? Will weaken my applications ?

My situation is weird because I took it twice last year in October and December but I got rejected everywhere. For this coming admission season, I plan to retake SAT to get at least a 2100 or a 2200 (from a 2000). I don't know if I will be able to do it in one time regarding that I have not taken a real SAT for a while.

Any input for me ?

Wait, are you a senior?

if you feel like you can score a higher SAT score, then by all means retake it.

Yeah, I am a senior.

With some more practice, I hope to score at least 2100 if not 2200. However, I don’t know if taking SAT will be a disadvantage of my applications. I have heard people said that 3rd is like the cut off but I want to achieve 2100 or 2200 so it might take one or two more tries.

you’ll be fine if you actually improve

Just wondering, are you taking a break year or something to that extent?

Take it again if you think you can score higher. I have a friend who took it 5 times and his best scores were from his 4th and 5th test.

Yeah, I am taking a gap year because none of the school I applied to this year accepted me, except one school that I am on their waiting list.

Do you guys think increasing a 100 or 200 point in this range is hard ? I am hoping to increase my math by 90 point to get a 800. Regarding CR, I am at 630 now, 680-700 would be my goal. About writing, I am at 660 and want to raise to a 700 at least. Does this sound impossible ?

^very possible, you could probably even improve more.

If you do work during your gap year and not just screw around i think you can do it. Also, hope you have a fun gap year.

Just curious what schools did you apply to? and will apply to?
