Any help for people at the 650 range?

I got a 690. I don't know why, but the reading was super hard that day. Anyways, I'm just doing more practice, memorizing words from real tests and stuff. Like, if I do a practice test and I see a word I don't know, I circle it and when I come back to check my answers, I look up the word too and put it in my list.

a 640 on the pre-test = how much on the actual thing?

As for the word list, where can i get the best and most concise one? How's mcGraw-hill's, kaplan's score raising dictionary? Does rocket review have a word list?

Rocket Review's word list is pretty good and concise. It consists of 323 "Power Cored" words that are important to know for the SAT.

STOP WITH THE "BUMP"s....thats sooooo stupid..... if you want to bump it up just write something like thanks or ask a question......dont write bump....so annoying

What's a good vocabulary list to use besides that scary Barron's one.

i like princeton review's. their "hit parade" is pretty good.

Is it in their Word Smart 2nd ed. book?

er...i think so? it's in one of the word smart books. i did well in CR (800). unfortunately, not so much in math (670). does anyone know how to raise a math score?

I'm in the 700s range of math... For math it's all about knowing the concepts and math vocab. Once you know them just practice. I hate it how most math people aren't that great at CR and how most CR people aren't great at M.

i hate it when they ARE good at everything! like 60% of ccers.

Haha, ya just about everyone here are like that. Oh well, anyway does anybody know how reliable Max Sat's vocabulary list is?

I've never heard of that.

I second what someone above said about literary terms. Those seem like they would be really useful, I know I've missed passage questions because of "analogous" and "conjecture" and I'm sure many other words before. No one has a list of those type of words, do they?
