What is the grading system at JHU

Is the grading system 90%-100% A = 4.0 and 80%-90% B= 3.0 or do you get different GPA points for an A- and different for an A+.

i think it is the same as all the other schools
A+, A 4.0
A- 3.7
B+ 3.3
B 3.0
B- 2.7

Grading systems can be different depending on the class - some have curves, meaning that a 70% overall might end up being an A, for example, in Intro Chem. Some, like some Romance Language classes, have strict grading policies (94+ = A, 93-90 = A-, etc.). Some are pretty arbitrary, when you think about how college grading is done...papers and class participation are hard to put number grades on.

But yes, the GPA scale is the same, out of a 4.0.

is the curve already set before start of class? or is it set depending on how your fellow classmates do? O.o

it depends on how everyone does in the class. For most of my classes, the professors only gave you average and standard deviation for each midterm/assignment so that you know how you did relative to the whole class, and they determined the curve at the end of the course.
