upper level accounting, or finance?

what about business calc?

upper level accounting, or finance?

what about business calc?

Intermediate Accounting.

It really depends on the school. The hardest class at my ugrad bus school was definitely business computer programming (weedout class for MIS).

For us it might have been managerial accounting or operations management, but it varies.

id probably say a high level accounting class, but thats largely because I never found it interesting, so it was very hard to get motivated to put the work in.

MIS and OM classes can be pretty difficult as well.

stochastic methods sounds hard or at least looks it

stochastic methods is more of a statistics/math class than a finance/accounting class

What is hard for some is easy for others. Certainly, calculus and statistics are considered hard. However, if you were to ask most business majors this question, they probably will answer: accounting.

The reason might surprise you. It isn't the math that makes accounting hard because the math is much easier than that of statistics or calculus. Accounting, however, is akin to law. There is a lot of information to digest. In addition, you must learn to apply all this information to practical problems. Finally, accounting is considered at most schools to be a weed-out major. Grading is tough!

intermediate accounting is what most people say...for me it was statistics cuz i hated that class...my only c in college...

Grading isn't very tough in introductory accounting. My and my friends' principles classes offered many extra credit opportunities. It's the coursework - few are prepared that level of home work.

ferryboat, no one said grading was tough in intro accounting. Everyone was referring to higher level accounting courses.

I think taxguy was referring to accounting as weed out classes as a weed out major at the upperclass level makes no sense. After all, introductory accounting is known to be one of the nightmare classes for marketing/management majors.

I am gonna say Accounting even though I haven't even taken the class. I cannot understand how sooooo many students are majoring in accounting and actually enjoying the classes. It looks and sounds so boring............

Any class where you have a bad teacher that can't help you figure out the material.

However, in general, it would have to be Intermediate Accounting (#1) or Statistics (#2).

Statistics II..only C in college as well.
