What is the hardest majors?

So is Environmental Enigneering pretty much at the same difficulty level as Civil?

I would estimate the power level of environmental engineers to be approximately 5000, and for civils to be approximately 4700. EEs have truly pathetic power levels in the low 2000s. MechE and AeroE have a more respectable power level in the high 7000s. Physics, CS, and Math have… power levels over 9000!

Of course, depending on what kind of techniques you know, say, Kao-Ken (spelling?), you could have an EE raise his power substantially, say, 4k-6k.

Not to mention going super… super-civil, super-aero, etc.

This would be manifested with a much higher GPA in Mechanical Engineering than Physics?

Minus ten; thread fails to deliver. Needs more ice cream.

There DOES seem to be a general lack of frozen desserts in this thread. How about this question: posicles or fudge bars? I prefer the fudge bars.

"This would be manifested with a much higher GPA in Mechanical Engineering than Physics? "

Not necessarily… I’m a double major in Physics, and the Physics is ridiculously hard, but the scaling is generally very favorable. I’ve heard that in most engineering majors the scaling isn’t normally as good.

For instance, the highest grade in my E&M class couldn’t have been higher than 35%, but the grades were mostly As and Bs at the end of the semester.

I’m a fan of popsicles, myself. There’s a kind made with “real fruit”… I like the coconut ones.

I really like “real fruit” popsicles, especially citrus flavors but the child in me still adores Creamsicles.

Oh right, I guess I neglected the real fruit popsicles. Those ARE pretty incredible, but I just don’t see them very often.

I think having a raspberry real fruit popsicle with chocolate hard shell around it would be amazing. That would be like sex on a stick.

Klondikes!

Yeah sort of like a Klondike, but with raspberry in the middle instead of vanilla ice cream.

Oh my god, why has this not been done?

Files patent

Oh, you SOB!!! That was my idea!

That’s what Franklin told Watson and Crick too!

I ran a half marathon two weeks ago, and they had Klondike bars at the finish line. Ymm! My new favorite HM.

Which is exactly my point. GPA is the judge of ‘difficulty’. It’s very very “hard” to get good grades in engineering. You either have to be damn smart (relative to classmates) or you have to put in a ton of time. It’s much easier to fail out of engineering than physics.

I tend to measure hardness in terms of difficulty of material, not in terms of what grades people get. I’m not a big fan of assigning grades, anyway… it cheapens the educational experience.

Over 9000!
