i got into the science program but i have no idea how its considered in terms of being good or not.

You got in, so why do you want to know which is "hardest" to get into? Getting in is always the easy part. Besides, I heard it's harder to get into the arts program (because there's supposedly more applicants), but that doesn't mean arts in harder than science (though I'm not saying it's easier).

i heard that last year, arts & science (combined) was by far the most difficult...then again, that's because it was a new faculty and there was pretty high demand for not very many spots.....i don't know much about whether it's necessarily a "good"/reputable program.

oh btw, sorry, it also differs according to where you're from. it's easiest for quebec students to get into McGill, then for international students, then for eastern/western canada, and lastly, hardest for ontario students. a lot of this is because of fees-international students pay more than domestic ones. not sure why it works with the other groups, except i know that the quebecois tend to look after their own, so i guess that accounts for how easy it is for quebec students to get in.

yeh the arts and science program was the hardest to get into last year because of the limited seats. With friends in the program, I feel that its a good course for people who aren't sure if they're 'artsy or sciensy' yet and a lot of people i know are switching faculties to the arts and sciene program.

All I can tell you is that I was accepted to the Arts program and rejected from the Arts and Science program. From what I have heard the Arts and Science program is extremely difficult for freshman to get admitted to. Not that it really bothers me, though, because I know I'm primarily interested in the Arts anyway.
