Shiboing Boing must be your best friend.

Hey! That's just MEAN. /sniff.

Anyway, back to IGETC stuff.

I highly recommend completion of the IGETC. Even though you don't have to, it's a good thing to have both at admission time and once at the university. I know that I had to mention it at least once for something paperworky back in undergrad.

I have always thought completion of IGETC was mandatory prior to transfer?

In any case, I would just recommend completing IGETC at your CC if possible. I took stats at my CC (watered down math for humanities majors) and did quite well; I don't want to even think about how I would do in a Berkeley math class... :(

Surprisingly, I met more than a few people who never completed the IGETC at both Cal and UCLA. But the vast majority of transfers will and should complete it.

It's not even that the classes at CC are easier (that's another debate), but that it provides a good early structure to get things done before you're one quarter away from graduating ZOMG I didn't do my last GE I need to do a summer school class after I walk and I hate this because I can't go party with my friends and this sucks.

Yeah...it happens.

ok, im takin IGETC then. THANKS GUYS! i love this forum.
