I am taking some more subject tests, but right now my lowest is a 670 in US history (I also have a 790 Math II)...is this below par for Yale, or is there not a lot of weight given to subject tests?

It's on the low side for Yale (and any other top competitive school). But if the rest of your application is strong enough, that score alone won't present a problem.

To answer the question in your thread title, I know someone who was admitted to Yale with one subject test score of 610.

Everything counts, but nothing ruins an application (at least nothing as small as an SATII score). Improve it if you can, or do better on another subject test. But plenty of people have gotten in with SAT II scores lower than that. Every application is unique, and is assessed on its own merits. A stellar application wouldn't be negated by a low-for-yale SATII score.

i got in early last year with a 670 in lit

^ did you have 2 higher scores?

one higher score - only sent 2 SAT IIs to yale
my chemistry was 710

I got in early with a 640 on World History (>_<), but a 730 on Chem and 750 on Math II.

I don't think your score'll hurt you too badly. Good luck!

I had a 670 in US history too.
But also two higher scores- 800 Math II, 780 or 790 on chemistry
i got in early. i don't think the 670 is going to hold you back, but if theres another subject you can study over the summer to get better at maybe take another one in the fall

I got in this year with a 610 in Math II, and 620 in Biology, and a 690 in Literature. Scores are important, but there are plenty of other things way more important.

got in regular this year with 690 in Physics, but 800 and 760 in MathII and Bio/M respectively...no one score will ruin or save your application
