I know you need to have at least 60 but my physical/biological courses for igetc might put me at 70 is that ok?

If you're coming from a community college, you can have a bazillion units and it won't hurt you, but only 60 units will count towards your graduation units requirement--everything after that can only be used to satisfy prerequisites for other classes.

If you're coming from a 4 year then there is a cutoff...um, hopefully someone else can chime in on what that is exactly, lol

This is not true. The minimum units you need to transfer is 60, but I believe 70 is the max that will transfer over. As he already said though, you can take as many units as you want if you're from a community college but they'll only take the maximum to go towards your graduation total - everything else can be taken as credit for the class, but that's about it.

ok but since im completing my honors courses for tap i might not be able to finish igetc, so if i choose not to will that keep me out of ucla or ucb?

I would finish IGETC before TAP.

would it be possible for you to choose a class that counts for TAP and IGETC?

yea for some of them i can, but for the foreign language part i completed 1 yr in hs not the required 2, so will i have to take another semester at my cc for igetc or is it ok if i dont finish that part?

You need two years of foreign language from high school to fulfill the requirement, so no you can't just leave it out or else you didn't complete IGETC (which, by the way, is a big factor on your application). You'll have to take one semester of a foreign language at your community college to fulfill the requirement.

ok, so im going to be applying next fall and if i choose to finish the language requirement in the spring before i transfer is that ok? Do i just indicate im completing igetc when i apply next november?

Between 60-70 CC semester units is fine for transferring to UC and 70 is the max that will transfer over.

So do we get to choose our 70 units to be transferred over if we have over 70 units?

Since I have some AP units from high school and I don't really want all of them to be transferred instead of those units that I got in CC...

And I'm wondering if all of the UC's would treat the AP units equally?
