What is the Mechanical Engineering Program like at UCF?

I’ve talked to advisors on the phone and admissions and nobody can really fill me in. I’m currently taking my AA for Engineering @ Santa Fe and plan to tranfer. I’ve thought deeply and researched alot about industrial and product design and I want to make sure they have design courses in the program? I really want to end up on a product Design team after school. How do I achieve that?

Assuming you are talking about University of Central Florida, it is an ABET accredited program. Therefore, a design experience is required as part of the curriculum. If a program is ABET accredited, then you will be employable as long as you have done well in the program.

You do have to take several required design courses. UCF also offers several design teams (like the Formula racing design team):

and a Senior Design option:

Which is all typical of a ME program.

Good Luck!
