hi dudes

its jason

i wonder..what is the minimum gpa i need to get accepted in university of pennsylvania
college of wharton (graduate...to get Master degree in finance)

what is the required gpa..in scale of 100% or 4

also what else i need (TOEFL...SAT...GMAT...etc)

best wishes

4.0 unless your a urm/legacy

Most likely, your GPA will be assessed relative to your class rank & school profile.

uha

thanx guys

wut about the GMAT TOEFL SAT ?

fst: this is the collegiate forum. There are MBA forums. You’ll get better info there. And you don’t have to be a 4.0 to be admitted (even though Wharton is tremendously selective)

Thread moved to correct forum.

t26e4 & tokenadult… thanx guys for your help

SAT is only for undergrad.

I dunno if the GMAT will be used if you want a Degree in Finance (Is it still a MBA program? If so, GMAT will be used). TOEFL - if English isn’t your native tongue (or if your undergrad instruction wasn’t in English)

hi guys
check this link…i think its MBA degree

[Find a Program - The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania](http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/academics/find_a_program/)

i search in the site to find the requirements …but i found nothing
what is the diffrent between MBA degree in finance and master in finance?

The Master in Finance is mostly “advanced” Finance classes and is meant for people with a Finance/Business undergrad degree and most Master in Finance programs do not require experience prior to enrollment, not like most MBA programs. The MBA with a concentration in Finance has a variety of classes (Marketing, Strategic Leadership, Accounting, etc) and some electives in Finance. The MBA is not necessarily meant for a person with a business degree and attracts people from a range of backgrounds.

uha…thank you very much luisg99

is there any recommended school to get Master degree in finance?

Haas or Warrington etc …

Never heard of Warrington (Do you mean Wharton?)…but Haas is pretty good. So are Stern, Wharton and even Sloan (if they offer the M Fin degree). I think Princeton has a similar program, look into that as well

hi politicsfreak
i mean University of Florida (Warrington)
also they have MBA program>>and im looking for Master

Check this out, MS in Finance programs in the US.

[M.S. Programs in Finance at U.S. Universities (provided by Don Chance)](http://www.bus.lsu.edu/academics/finance/faculty/dchance/MiscProf/MSPrograms.htm)

hey luiseg99…thank you very much for that link

iam thinking now about 3 schools

University of Florida (Warrington)
they have Master of Science in Finance (MSF)
[MS Finance - Finance, Insurance & Real Estate - Warrington College of Business Administration](http://www.cba.ufl.edu/fire/programs/msf/)

Princeton University>>>Master in Finance
[Master in Finance - Bendheim Center for Finance - Princeton University](http://www.princeton.edu/bcf/graduate/index.xml)

Indiana university
[Online Master of Science in Finance](<a href=“Online MBA Program | Kelley Direct MBA | Indiana Kelley”>Online MBA Program | Kelley Direct MBA | Indiana Kelley)

which one is the best>>and what is the diffrent between master in finance and Master of Science in Finance (MSF)???

luisg99…do the universities above in my replay need work experience?

I think work experience would help but it is not necessary for admission. Just look at the average age at most of these programs.

Fst, I dunno much about M Fin programs but I’d say Princeton (owing to its brand name). I personally have my reservations against Online programs and U Florida in general has a good for a State U (I think)

Yeah, Princeton and George Washington are top schools overall but I don’t know much about their Finance programs. Indiana is a top 20 business program so their Online program should be good.

uha thanx guys…so politicsfreak princeton is good or bad…i didnt get wut you mean honestly.
