Perhaps the best straight quantitative (non-opinion survey) ranking combining metrics for research (funding $, awards) and academics (e.g. SAT scores), etc.</p>
<p>[Times</a> Higher Education World Rankings](<a href=“http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/2010-2011/top-200.html]Times”>World University Rankings 2010-11 | Times Higher Education (THE)) also combines teaching with research with other metrics in an attempt to survey such combinations. Most others are one (undergrad: US News) or the other (research:ARWU).</p>
